How to use the Free Sign PDF Online

- Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
- No. Your PDF stays on your device — signing is done in your browser using pdf-lib and pdf.js. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
- Is this signature legally binding?
- It creates a visual electronic signature suitable for most everyday agreements (UK/EU eIDAS 'simple electronic signature'). For contracts that require qualified digital signatures (QES) or a certificate-based signature, use a dedicated eIDAS/AATL provider.
- Can I place a signature on more than one page?
- Yes — pick the target page from the page thumbnails, place the signature, then repeat on other pages.
- What signature file format should I upload?
- A transparent PNG works best. JPG will show a white box behind the signature.
