Free DNS Record Lookup

Enter a domain to see its A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME and NS records live from public DNS.

About this tool

A free DNS lookup tool that queries live public DNS (Google and Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS) for any domain you enter. See A and AAAA addresses, MX mail servers, TXT records (SPF, verification, DKIM, DMARC), CNAME aliases and NS delegation — all in a single clean report with copy buttons.

How to use the Free DNS Record Lookup

  1. Enter the domain you want to inspect (for example fairsoftware.co.uk).
  2. Click Look up — we query A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME and NS in parallel.
  3. Read the records and click Copy to grab any value.
  4. Compare against expectations to diagnose mail, hosting or DNS-propagation issues.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the DNS data come from?
We query Google Public DNS (dns.google) over DNS-over-HTTPS. Results reflect the authoritative records visible to public resolvers.
Why don't I see the record I just added?
DNS changes take time to propagate. TTL values on your existing records determine how long resolvers cache the old answer — usually minutes to a few hours.
Why are some TXT records split into chunks?
DNS TXT strings are limited to 255 characters, so long records (like DKIM keys) are split. We concatenate them for display.
Is my query private?
The domain you type is sent to our edge function and then to Google DNS. We don't log queries; Google publishes its own privacy policy.
